The Blood of Jesus, God’s Atomic Weapon

The following are my “Cliff Notes” from a teaching by Derek Prince found on Youtube titled “God’s Atomic Weapon: The Blood of Jesus”

Revelation 12:11 KJV And they Overcame him by The BLOOD of The Lamb, and by the Word of Their Testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

2 Corinthians 5:17-18,20-21 KJV   Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. [18] And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; [20] Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. [21] For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; That We Might Be Made the Righteousness of God in HIM.

Our Self Righteousness Is Corrupt    Isaiah 64:6 KJV But we are all as an unclean thing , and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Seek God’s Righteousness, Not our own   Matthew 6:33 KJV But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Be humble and seek God’s righteousness    Romans 10:3 KJV For they Being  Ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to Establish Their OWN Righteousness, have NOT Submitted themselves Unto the Righteousness of God.

Our Weapon against Satan is the Blood of Jesus     2 Corinthians 10:3-6 KJV For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled

Testify personally, to what the Word (Scripture) says, that the Blood has done for “me” in a personal way, your testimony!

Use the BLOOD of the Lamb by the WORD of our TESTIMONY against satan in his attacks against us. Our weapon is a Sword – the Word God, you have to know the Word of God to use it.

Ephesians 6:17 KJV And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

The Blood HAD to Be Applied!!!

Exodus 12:7 KJV And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

The Blood of the lamb had to be applied to the top and side door posts. NOT On the Threshold!! Don’t Trample the Blood of Christ!!

In Egypt the blood  was caught in a basin. It did NO Good in the basin it was collected in when the lamb was slain. It protected NO One from the death angel in the basin. A humble common weed, called “hysop” was used to apply it.

1 Corinthians 5:7b KJV For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us:

Jesus Christ has shed His blood for us, it’s available but we decide to use it or not. What is our “hysop” to apply the Blood of Jesus to us personally? Giving testimony of what Jesus’ Blood did for you is your “hysop.” The Blood of Jesus must be used to Overcome satan.

Revelation 12:11 KJV And they OVERCAME him by the Blood of the Lamb, and By The WORD of Their Testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Telling others of what the Word says that the Blood does and what it did for you is like applying it with hysop to the door posts and lentil of your body.

1. Ephesians 1:7 KJV In whom we have redemption through his (Jesus) blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

{In whom (Jesus), – We have to be “In Christ” to lay claim to the “Redemption” Jesus bought and paid for us on the Cross and to be “Forgiven”}

Confess- “Ephesians 1:7, Through the Blood of Jesus, I am redeemed from the hand of the enemy.”

2. Psalm 107:2 KJV Let the redeemed of the Lord “Say So,” whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;

{“Say So” is taking the hysop of our “Testimony” and using it to apply the Blood of Jesus to our account for ourself or in intercession for others, against the “enemy – satan”}

Confess – “Ephesians 1:7, Through the Blood of Jesus ALL my sins are forgiven.”

3. 1 John 1:7 KJV But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

{Note – This is all in “present tense”  If we “continue” to walk in the light and “continue” in fellowship, Jesus’ Blood “continues” to cleanse us. This is NOT a 1 Time Process, It is Ongoing on our part as well as Jesus’ part, “Fellowship”}

Confess – “1 John 1:7, The Blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, cleanses me continually of ALL Sin.”

4. Romans 5:9 KJV Much more then, being now JUSTIFIED by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

{Justified & Righteous are interchangeable terms. To be made “Just-as-if-I’d” Never Sinned. We are made Righteous, when the Righteousness of Jesus Christ is imputed to us.}

Confess – “ Romans 5:9, Through the Blood of Jesus I am Justified, made Righteous, “Just-as-if-I’d” NEVER Sinned.”

5. Hebrews 13:12 KJV Wherefore Jesus also, that he might SANCTIFY the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

{To be Sanctified is to be made “Saintly or Holy,” To be Holy means being “Set Apart to/for God”}

In Exodus, God “Set Apart” Goshen, where the Israelites lived to show Pharaoh that they were His Protected People. In scripture, God’s judgements against the wicked are NEVER meant to fall upon His Righteous Ones.

Confess – “Hebrews 13:12, Through the Blood of Jesus I am Sanctified, Made Holy, Set Apart to God.”

Note: Confessions 6 & 7 are contingent upon understanding and applying these 2 scriptures,

1 Corinthians 6:13b KJV   Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

1 Corinthians 6:15 KJV    Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ?

6. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 KJV 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Confess – “1 Corinthians 6:19 & 20 My body is the temple for the Holy Spirit, Redeemed, Cleansed, Sanctified by the Blood of Jesus.”

Confess – “Therefore satan has no place in me, no power over me through the Blood of Jesus.”

The Seven Confessions of Jesus’ Blood

1. “Ephesians 1:7, Through the Blood of Jesus, I am redeemed from the hand of the enemy.”
2. “Ephesians 1:7, Through the Blood of Jesus ALL my sins are forgiven.”
3. “1 John 1:7, The Blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, cleanses me continually of ALL Sin.”
4. “ Romans 5:9, Through the Blood of Jesus I am Justified, made Righteous, “Just-as-if-I’d” NEVER Sinned.”
5. “Hebrews 13:12, Through the Blood of Jesus I am Sanctified, Made Holy, Set Apart to God.”
6. “1 Corinthians 6:19 & 20 My body is the temple for the Holy Spirit, Redeemed, Cleansed, Sanctified by the Blood of Jesus.”
7. “Therefore satan has no place in me, no power over me through the Blood of Jesus.”

DISCLAIMER !!! There are NO Formulas, Gimmicks, Set of Rules or Techniques that Work in the Kingdom of God. All of the above confessions are of sound Biblical Doctrine but are WORTHLESS without the “Holy Spirit Bearing Witness.”

The “Witness,” evidence is a changed nature in you. A change of attitude towards God. A new desire for God and His Word. God’s Spirit in you WILL have an effect on your thoughts and desires. The Word of God is the washing by water, the Blood of Jesus redeems, justifies, and sanctifies and the Holy Spirit WILL Bear Witness in a Born Again child of God.

Deuteronomy 15:19 & 2 Corinthians 13:1b  In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 KJV And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a THREEFOLD CORD is Not Quickly Broken.

John 15:3 KJV Now ye are CLEAN Through The WORD which I (Jesus) have spoken unto you.

Ephesians 5:25-27 KJV 25b Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might SANCTIFY and CLEANSE it with the WASHING of WATER by the WORD, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

1 John 5:6,8 KJV This is he that came by WATER and BLOOD, even Jesus Christ; not by Water Only, but by Water and Blood. And it is the Spirit that Beareth WITNESS, because the Spirit is TRUTH.

8 And THERE ARE THREE That Bear Witness in Earth, the SPIRIT, and the WATER, and the BLOOD: and These THREE AGREE In ONE.

My thoughts on this teaching by Derek Prince –

If you have been around any Pentecostal churches or new converts much you may have heard it said of a new convert, “they’re on Fire For God.” In other words they want to talk about God all the time. Sadly, you may have even heard some established “Christians” say, “they’ll get over it.” Meaning the “fire” will go out and they will conform to the status quo and be quite and not be so excited about Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.

In biblical times of offering animal sacrifices there was one “sure fire” way of knowing if God was pleased and had accepted the sacrifice. It’s believed that was how Cain knew God had not accepted his offering. The “Fire of God” fell from heaven and consumed it. A person “on fire for God that wants to talk about, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus is evidence, the witness of the Holy Spirit, that they have had a real encounter with God. It’s what the songs “Refiners Fire” and “Soul on Fire” touch on.

This teaching must be applied to your heart. Head knowledge is good and maybe even necessary but useless unless it is Sincerely Heartfelt. God wants your heart, All of it.

James 1:7-8 NKJV   For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Don’t be half-hearted or lukewarm  about your relationship to God through Jesus Christ His Son

Revelation 3:15-16 NKJV  “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.

Another sure evidence that the Blood of Jesus had been applied to your heart and soul is because the weight of guilt and shame you felt because of the sinful life you had lived is now gone. They memory of the sins and the consequences of the sins may still be evident and have to be lived with but the consciousness of guilt and shame has been “Washed Away by Jesus Blood.” It isn’t constantly condemning your mind, tormenting your value to God. It’s another thing that some people may have a hard time dealing with. That you can “act like God’s forgiven you.” For you, it’s NO Act!!! It’s the POWER of the BLOOD of JESUS!!

For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling them that have been defiled, sanctify unto the cleanness of the flesh: how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish unto God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?—Hebrews 9:13-14.

As this song says. “since I’ve been washed in Jesus blood all of my sins are gone away, no more shame, I’m not the same, my awful debt with His Blood he did pay ”
