The following is something I wrote in my last blog entry titled “Settle Out of Court”
Five times during worship service I felt lead to write down a note to myself of something I felt the Lord was impressing on me. I didn’t want to forget the thought so I’d jot it down. As we sang the last worship song the last one was this, “when I was wallowing in my vomit you saved me.” I had 2 Peter 2:22 in mind.
When the last worship song was over I opened my eyes when I heard someone speaking in tongues. It was Pastor Wanda who had stepped up onto the platform to give a word of utterance from God, in English she then said, “When you were at your lowest I rescued you.”
It is possible to know, God wants you to know that you are hearing His voice. He will do things that confirm He is active in your life in little and big ways,

What I am about to write is about 2 of the other notes to myself I jotted down during worship service last Sunday May 19, 2019.
As the 1st or 2nd worship song was ending I began to tell God, “Lord we need You to manifest your presence here today. I thank You for Your Holy Spirit and I thank You for Your Holy Angels you send to minister to our needs but it”s You we want, it’s You we need. Lord nothing else will do. Lord it’s You we want and it’s You we need.”
As I ended that prayer the worship team ended their song. The worship leader said a few words then went into a song I know well and where my prayer was coming from. It’s a song I don’t ever remembering them singing during worship service. When I was first “Born Again with God’s Spirit,” in 1993, Don Moen came out with a worship cassette titled “God With Us.” I worn that cassette out and about 3 years ago bought the digital version as those songs began to come to my memory again. The song they began singing was,
The prayer I prayed came from Don Moen’s closing words to this song, “so call with me now, Lord it’s You we need, it’s You we want, and we long to be in your presence once again.”
It’s not like I listened to that album on the way to church and it was fresh in my mind. Actually it’s been awhile, maybe months since I’d listened to the album. I did just change phones and saw it while loading my Christian music on a new SD Card but it is only 1 of dozens of albums and over 500 worship and praise songs I have.
At some point after that I felt lead to write down these 2 notes to myself but not at the same time.
Please forgive my sloppy handwriting and spelling. The 1st note of the 2 said,
‘I am the Lord who walks among you.” It has to do with a verse that came to mind from the Torah when God tells His people during the Exodus for the people to sanctify the camp because HE walks among them when they are unaware of it. I had to look it up to find it.

Cleanliness of the Campsite
9 “When the army goes out against your enemies, then keep yourself from every wicked thing. 10 If there is any man among you who becomes unclean by some occurrence in the night, then he shall go outside the camp; he shall not come inside the camp. 11 But it shall be, when evening comes, that he shall wash with water; and when the sun sets, he may come into the camp.
12 “Also you shall have a place outside the camp, where you may go out; 13 and you shall have an implement among your equipment, and when you sit down outside, you shall dig with it and turn and cover your refuse. 14 For the Lord your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you and give your enemies over to you; therefore your camp shall be holy, that He may see no unclean thing among you, and turn away from you.
In my last blog post I mentioned how the bad weather that blew through our area Sunday morning had caused a very low turnout at church. I had said that sometimes, “less can be more” in the eyes of God using Gideon’s army as an example. I believe the people who didn’t let the weather stop them from keeping an appointment with God were those with a genuine hunger and thirst for the presence of God and to receive fresh manna from His Word.
The 2nd note said, “things that were not cleansed by water went through the fire.” Actually that is a misquote of this verse.
Numbers 31:21-24 NKJV
21 Then Eleazar the priest said to the men of war who had gone to the battle, “This is the ordinance of the law which the Lord commanded Moses: 22 Only the gold, the silver, the bronze, the iron, the tin, and the lead, 23 everything that can endure fire, you shall put through the fire, and it shall be clean; and it shall be purified with the water of purification. But all that cannot endure fire you shall put through water. 24 And you shall wash your clothes on the seventh day and be clean, and afterward you may come into the camp.”
In these two verses God is pointing out the need for “cleanness” in the camp and individual lives. When we want to enter into the presence of God, our cleanness and the cleanness of those around us IS an issue.
Last night was my first night back at work. When we were caught up, after midnight I began reading my bible verses and devotionals for the today, May 22, 2019. Guess what was the chapter from the Old Testament, Numbers 31. When I read verse 23, “everything that can endure fire, you shall put through the fire, and it shall be clean; and it shall be purified with the water of purification,” I was in awe.

Did you know that in the Hebrew language there is NO word for “coincidence.” Everything is “a happening from God.”
The word coincidence is used only once in New Testament Greek, and it was by Jesus Himself in the parable of the Good Samaritan. In Luke 10:31, Jesus said, “And by a coincidence a certain priest was going down in that way, and having seen him, he passed over on the opposite side.” The word coincidence is translated from the Greek word synkyrian, which is a combination of two words: sun and kurios. Sun means “together with,” and kuriousmeans “supreme in authority.” So a biblical definition of coincidence would be “what occurs together by God’s providential arrangement of circumstances.”
What appears to us as random chance is in fact overseen by a sovereign God who knows the number of hairs on every head (Luke 12:7). Jesus said that not even a sparrow falls to the ground without our Father’s notice (Matthew 10:29).
Jesus made this promise to those who seek and love Him,
Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me. “These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Philippians 2:5 is not a cliche’, It’s a command and a promise that hinges on the little word, “let.”
