God Confirms His Word

God Confirming His Word can be looked at from so many levels. I guess a major one is like the example I used in yesterday’s post. The prophet Isaiah said this,

Isaiah 44:28  Who says of Cyrus, ‘He is My shepherd,
And he shall perform all My pleasure,
Saying to Jerusalem, “You shall be built,”
And to the temple, “Your foundation shall be laid.” ’

Isaiah 45:1, 4 “Cyrus is my anointed king.
I take hold of his right hand.
I give him the power
to bring nations under his control.
I help him strip kings of their power
to go to war against him.
I break city gates open so he can go through them.
I say to him,

Cyrus, I am sending for you by name.
I am doing it for the good of the family of Jacob.
They are my servant.
I am doing it for Israel.
They are my chosen people.
You do not know anything about me.
But I am giving you a title of honor.

Isaiah’s prophecy of Cyrus comes 150 years before he’s a king.  Isaiah (740BC – 680BC) lived 700 years before the birth of Jesus and Cyrus the Great wasn’t born until 600 BC. Cyrus was 40 years old before he became king and reigned only 30 years (Cyrus b.600BC – d. 530BC). Cyrus lived for 70 years which also fulfilled  God’s Word about the lifespan of a man, Psalm 90:10.

Many people today are calling Donald Trump, God’s modern day “servant like Cyrus” and for a lot of reasons I believe that too but I also remember that God said this also,

Jeremiah 27:6 And now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant; and the beasts of the field I have also given him to serve him.

Jeremiah 43:10 and say to them, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: “Behold, I will send and bring Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant, and will set his throne above these stones that I have hidden. And he will spread his royal pavilion over them.

Ezekiel 29:18  “Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon drove his army in a hard campaign against Tyre; every head was rubbed bare and every shoulder made raw. Yet he and his army got no reward from the campaign he led against Tyre. 19 Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am going to give Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will carry off its wealth. He will loot and plunder the land as pay for his army. 20 I have given him Egypt as a reward for his efforts because he and his army did it for me, declares the Sovereign Lord.

Being called “A Servant of God” even in scripture does NOT equate to getting a “Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant” in the end. It only emphasizes that they were given a season to be used of God even like everyone else God reveals Himself to, their 3:33am wake up call. Anyone that rejects the “light” God reveals to them to walk in the pride and arrogance of their own heart is left only one option, Darkness. Get in a room, turn off the light, what do you have? There are way to many people in the Bible that were used of God, starting out well but finishing poorly to list. It’s not how you start out with God that matters so much as how you finish.

Matthew 24:11-13 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved.

The Gospel of Mark ends with these two verses bringing another level of God confirming His Word

Mark 16:19-20  So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

Here, a minister of God’s Word prays to Father God in Faith through the Name of Yeshua Jesus and the request is answered. The Faith to believe God for the next need is built on the confirmation of prayer being answered.

But what if you are an ordinary person like me, not an ordained minister of God’s Word? Or what if you are a “Born Again with God’s Spirit” Christian who at some point fell away from your walk with God and has returned whole heartedly as God tells us to do, again “like me,”

Zechariah 1:3 Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Return to Me,” says the Lord of hosts, “and I will return to you,” says the Lord of hosts.

This blog is about the things I learn in studying the Word of God and to share the way God “confirms” my understanding and to testify to others when I see clear evidence of it. I am saying these things to give the Glory to God hoping others will seek God in their lives too. “Seeking” is looking for God. One way is “looking” for God being active in our daily lives. When I tell about a way God has confirmed something I wrote it’s not to draw attention to me but to God’s abundant Mercy and Grace when we “return to Him.”

Sometimes I remind my readers of my pastimes of being an unsaved person or a backslidden Christian who has now whole heartedly repented and seeks God First and Foremost. In my life, I’ve learned that I have to cling closely to God at ALL Times because when I haven’t a stumble or fall is waiting behind the next door. I’ve learned that “I Can’t Even Walk Without God Holding My Hand.”  Surely a “Spirit Lead” life is what pleases Father God and what we should desire. I want you to know that no matter what stage you are in, God is like the father in the story of the prodigal son, waiting and watching for you to return.

God doesn’t want us to have the attitude that I accepted for so long. “If only God would let me into heaven, even if it’s in some remote corner, far away from the most majestic and beautiful parts of it (as if that were possible), I would be so grateful, because I know that’s all I could possibly hope for.” That’s the attitude I had because of willful sin in my life that I would constantly claim the blood for mixed with the “were not under law but Grace” doctrine I understood in error. We ARE NOT UNDER the Law of Moses of sin and death but UNDER Grace and UNDER “the LAW of The Spirit and Life.”

Romans 8:2  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

As Jesus and Bob Dylan said “No one can serve two masters,” and “it may be the devil, it may be the Lord, but you ‘Gotta Serve Somebody’.“ There’s NO Such thing as “riding the fence.” Those are the two options, you can’t be “neutral.”

An assistant port captain I use to work for had a saying when he’d explain something he wanted me to do, “are you reading what I’m writing,” meaning are you paying attention and understand what I’m saying. So here are a couple of the latest things God has done to “confirm” to me personally, “He’s reading what I’m writing.”

I added a P.S. Sunday morning before going to church to the post I finished late Saturday night, Jesus Took The Bait, They Got Caught,

This morning when I got up, I looked at the time, 4 am. I thought, “it’s been quite a while since I woke up and saw 3:33 on the clock, something that for a season of time use to happen so often.

Today, Monday morning, as I awoke I began to pray for the things that came to mind for a few minutes, just laying there with my eyes closed. When I finished I grabbed my phone to check the time because we don’t have a clock on my side of the bed.

333 save

I said, “Praise YOU Lord, Your’re So Amazing” as tears filled my eyes. After I took the screenshot the time already jumped to 3:34. I Almost Missed IT!!! I have so many screen shot like this when I randomly looked at the time to see 333. It’s why Jeremiah 33:3 is the verse of my page.

In the P.S. of my post I also mentioned awakening Saturday morning with the song “Isn’t He” by John Wimber already playing SO Clearly in my head. I just laid there and listened for awhile.

In Bishop Drew’s message he preached yesterday morning “A Beautiful Mind” linked here, he says this at 37:37 in the video, “sometimes in the morning you wake up with some kind of rhythm of a song, you say where did that thing come from, I don’t want to think about that”

Before I started this blog late in December last year, almost daily I’d send text messages to friends and family members about God’s Word. Countless times Bishop Drew would quote the exact verse that was in my text, confirming the Holy Spirit was leading us in a similar “direction.” Now and then I would email Bishop Drew to tell him about it. One time I said, “there are 31,102 verses in the Bible. It happened again, you’re preaching and I’m writing about the same one.”

One Sunday morning I had decided to just listen to worship music while getting ready before leaving for Sunday service and had even thought “no text message this morning, maybe later.” There were some days I’d send 3 texts out. At the very last minute I had a strong urge to write a text message and send it to the friends and family. I had to ask my wife to drive to church so I could send it before getting there. That’s the only time I remember her driving us to church. As she drove and I was sending to the 25 or so people on my list I was thinking, “will Bishop Drew confirm this scripture also, is the Holy Spirit leading me to write about this.”

It was Sunday Sept 17, 2017 and this was the text message,

Jesus taught about when a demon was cast out from a person. If once the evil was gone and no action was taken to fill it with God’s spirit, what would happen.

Luke 11:20,24-26 20 KJV But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. 25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. 26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and The Last State Of That Man Is Worse Than The First.

The Glory of God departed Shiloh in 1 Samuel 4:21-22. God’s Spirit had no house, dwelling place in Judah or Israel until Solomon built the temple.

Then again the Spirit of God departed from Solomon’s temple through the east gate on wings of angels in Ezekiel 10:17-22.

Ezekiel 11 starts off with 25 men standing in the east gate of the temple planning evil.

When the Spirit of God is absent, the unclean spirits WILL enter to fill the void. Many churches are void of God and filled with the doctrines of men and demons. If you are not knowledgeable in the bible for yourself, you are wide open for deception. Be A Berean, it’s a must.

Note: the text of my message wasn’t a blue hyperlink but it’s a long time that I’ve been encouraging people to read and learn God’s Word for themselves. It’s a major deterrent to deception. The text message gives another dimension to the idea of “Refusing Light offered by God and His Word resulting in Walking in Darkness.” The person that has been cleansed of evil spirits HAS To be INFILLED by God’s Spirit to prevent the evil spirit from returning to a nice and clean “empty” house to live in, with 7 of his fellow demons.

So Bishop Drew preached a message titled “Heartbeat of A Miracle” and at 37:37 into this video also he references the Bible verse from my text message Luke 11:24-26 that I’d sent out on the way to church.

Heartbeat Of A Miracle

WOW. OMG, I just realized both of those confirmations happens at about 37:37 but that’s NOT Even the strangest thing about it. When I sent the link to the video to Bishop Drew in 2017 telling him about it, he mentioned the verse at exactly 40:45 in the video.

After church I emailed Bishop Drew to tell him about the test verse and how he had confirmed it again like so many past times. Bishop Drew sent me his sermon notes of the message, THE REFERENCE TO VERSE LUKE 11;24-26 WAS NOT IN THEM. For a couple days I was left waiting for the sermon to repost on Livestream to watch it again.  I even began to wonder if I imagined that Bishop Drew said it or not. When it did post to Livestream to watch the sermon again I found it and sent him an email telling him he said it at 40:45 into the video.

Bishop Drew’s reply was

Luke 11 24-26

You may be wondering about now how it is that I have these things like the emails from Bishop Drew, the text messages I wrote a couple years ago still recorded and saved for future reference. It’s simple really. I know I’m a sinner saved by the Blood of Yeshua Jesus and except for that I’d be well on my way to a hell meant for the devil and his demons. I CHERISH the things my Heavenly Father does in my life to CONFIRM His presence and Ever Watchful Eye Upon little old me. These memories and evidences of God being active in my life are like the “Ebenezer Stone, Stone of Help” and stone altars Israel would build as monuments to remember what God did for them.

I was a picture of Hosea’s wife and there were days in my sinful state I’d wake up feeling like a prostitute must feel some times. I am the prodigal son who squandered a lot of the life God intended me to live. BUT GOD, being the Father in the parable of the prodigal son did to me as he did. HE Has Welcomed me back into His Household with Loving Arms. He has made me know I don’t have to hope to maybe make it to heaven to spend eternity in a remote, far out part of paradise because of the part of the life I shamelessly wasted while He watched. I don’t know why He didn’t bring my life to an end for the way I lived it at times. I thank Him often for not letting me die in my sins. Now a pray a prayer that I don’t imagine many people have the nerve or will to pray.

“Father please take my life before you let me become a reproach to you Holy Name.” When I pray it, I mean it with ALL My Heart. In a way it’s self serving if you think about it. God would end my life “BEFORE” I have a chance to mess it up AGAIN. When I tell Father God, “I can’t even walk without you holding my hand,” it’s NOT a cliche’.

You have to “Look For God” to Find Him. It’s easy to get distracted by the things of this often self centered and busy life to miss the 3:33’s or what ever else God is doing in your life to get your attention. He won’t beat you over the head with them but I know He is hoping we would notice them.

Another prayer I pray sometimes is, “Lord please be persistent with me because I know I’m dull of hearing and sometimes You need to draw me a picture so that I don’t miss what you are trying to show me.”

God is Very Real to me, Not some distant god who can’t be touched by my feelings or infirmities. A bumper sticker says, Know Jesus, Know Peace – No Jesus, No Peace. It’s true from whatever direction you look at it.

Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

AND I DON’T EVER WANT TO!!!!!
