Trump Plans To Divide Israel, Is America’s Divisions Related?

On a cold and crisp morning last fall on November 16th 2019 I was shocked by what I saw in my backyard.

Once the sight of our split in two fig tree had registered in my mind my thoughts went to scripture. I realized that this sight could be taken as an ominous sign of the Trump Middle East Peace Plan. The reason I took it as an ominous sign is because if the plan involves dividing Israel and giving up some of it to become part of a new Palestinian state that will not be good for America.

So many times in scripture God’s Word describes Israel as His Fig Tree. Jesus painted a vivid picture of unfruitfulness being condemned by using a fig tree on more than one occasion.

One time Jesus actually cursed a fig tree and the next day it had already visibly died, as told here, https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mark+11%3A12-25&version=NKJV
Centered between the verses of Mark 11:12-25 when Jesus curses the fig tree and it is withered, Jesus cleanses the Jewish temple in Jerusalem of all the hypocrisy found in it. That  thought just brought this Bible verse to mind,

1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

What did the Jewish religious institution rejecting Jesus bring to Israel but the complete and utter destruction of it. The temple Jesus tried to cleanse returned to it’s wicked ways but only for a season until not one stone was left upon another. The nation of Israel was abolished and put in a 2,000 year time out by God.

Another time Jesus used the unfruitful fig tree was in a parable. Jesus told of the land owner (God) being ready to bring a “full end judgment” to the tree by having it chopped down. But intercession was made by the “keeper of the vineyard” which I think is a picture of Jesus interceding for God’s wayward people. That parable is found here,

Luke 13:6-9  He also spoke this parable: “A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. 7 Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, ‘Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?’ 8 But he answered and said to him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it. 9 And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that you can cut it down.’ ”

The ministry of Jesus on earth lasted about 3 years as in the parable. Soon after that time, about 70 ad Israel was chopped down to a stump until 2,000 years later when it sprouted again. Jesus told yet another parable using a fig tree as the symbol for Israel to point to the beginning of the end times,

The lesson of the Fig Tree (Matthew 24:32-35; Mark 13:28-31)
29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; 30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. 31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. 32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. 33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

God brings a “full end judgment” to His enemies but in the judgments brought against His people He always leaves a remnant, a shoot to bring forth His purpose.

Isaiah 11:1-4  And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; 3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: 4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

On January 28,2020 the 2nd portion of Donald Trump’s Middle East Peace Plan was released. It was revealed that this plan would include the eventual giving up of land in Israel, including part of east Jerusalem over to become a Palestine state and it’s capitol. God has warned in His Word that that land is His, NOT Israel’s. He has also warned NOT to divide His Land.

As the recent article from the Times of Israel states, a “Remapping” of the new borders of Israel and what will be the new Palestinian state are underway. Screenshots from the article shows, the “dividing” process has begun.

It is amazing to see how much of Israel, God’s Land has been designated to be turned over to Palestinian control and become the new state of Palestine.

On January 17, 2020 in anticipation of the release of the “Deal of the Century” I wrote a post titled, “Can Donald Trump Divide Jerusalem & Israel and Still MAGA?” link  Almost nothing was known about the Covid 19 world pandemic and how greatly it would impact the USA. While the USA has had racial unrest in it’s recent years, NOTHING comes close to the “Division” that America is experiencing currently. NEVER in recent American history has a state of this union willingly decided to turn over sovereign American soil to a terrorist entity who can’t even decide it’s own name, CHAZ/CHOP.

In Luke chapter 4 Jesus read from the Book of Isaiah the prophet,

Luke 4:16-21  So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. 17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

20 Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. 21 And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

Jesus pointed out to them that those scriptures of Isaiah chapter 61 was fulfilled to them on that day but why did He stop reading at the point that He did? I believe it’s because the verses that follow that passage was not ready to be fulfilled yet,

Isaiah 61:4 They shall build up the ancient ruins;
they shall raise up the former devastations;
they shall repair the ruined cities,
the devastations of many generations.

Israel’s 2,000 year time out for their rejection of God’s Ways and of His Only Begotten Son Yeshua Jesus should make EVERY so called Christian tremble in fear and reverence of God’s justice. A Biblical generation is about 70 years. Many generations might just be 2,000 years. That’s how long it was before Israel began to sprout and grow into the powerful influential nation that it is today. The “Brain Drain” that came upon the world as Israelis began to make Aliyah back to their homeland is undeniable.

Made In Israel

As this article describes, “Made In Israel” is the norm for new advances in technology, https://www.israel21c.org/made-in-israel-the-top-64-innovations-developed-in-israel/

To contrast that in December 1992 the NBC television series Dateline airs an investigation into WalMart’s “Made in America” and “Bring It Home to the USA” marketing campaigns. The show airs footage of children working in factories in Bangladesh to make clothes destined for WalMart, as well as hidden camera footage of Wal-Mart stores with “Made in America” signs hung over imported goods. Wal-Mart CEO David Glass storms out of the Dateline interview, and according to former WalMart store manager Jon Lehman, the stores are required to remove the “Made in America” signs overnight.

For many years God has brought warnings and remedial judgments to America. Fires, floods, widespread tornado damage, domestic terrorism, racial unrest, and the list could go on and on. In the 60’s America kicked God and prayer out of schools. Today they welcome Drag Queen Story Hour. Christianity in America has been under attack for some time while Islam and other religions are protected by hate speech laws.

Christians, even Christian pastors watch as much porn as the rest of the world. Years ago, Jerry Falwell wanted to go against the porn industry. but was quickly shut down. The porn industry told him, “if you do, we will expose how greatly porn viewing increases in motels and hotels when and where Christian conventions are held.”

Christians get as many divorces and abortions as the rest of the “unsaved” world. I heard only yesterday that 76.3% of abortions are had by “God fearing women.” https://afr.net/podcasts/the-hamilton-minute/2020/march/christians-and-abortion/

I’m not pointing the finger at Donald Trump, Christian men, women or even it’s pastors. The blame game has to end if God will ever send revival. It’s the way God has always sent revival. When people stop blaming others for the reasons that they have sinned against God a door of revival is opened. Jesus stands at the door of a person’s heart, one at a time, not a family, state or nation.

When sin entered the world through Eve and then Adam the “blame game” began and has continued ever since.

Genesis 3:9-13  Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” 11 And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”

12Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”

13 And the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

Eve blamed the serpent then Adam blamed God and Eve both, division entered the world through listening to satan. America quit listening to God many years ago as a nation. If you reject the light God offers it leaves only one option, darkness. This didn’t happen in a day. God’s warnings were dismissed because people don’t acknowledge that God is in “Full Control” of everything that happens. If it happens, God had to allow it. The weather can be manipulated by satan but God being the Sovereign has to allow it and uses it at times to display His Glory. Think of Jesus with His disciples in the boat when He calmed that storm, displaying His Power and Glory.

So quickly God is credited when weather conditions have occurred to favor the outcome of America’s military in times of war. Almost never will it be said that weather was allowed by God for correction. Elijah pronounced drought over a nation that refused to choose if they would serve God or satan. When the remedial judgments don’t work more intense ones have to come, it’s a Biblical pattern of how God dealt with Israel. America and American Christians don’t want to believe that.

The New Apostolic Reformation prophets are professing their “7 Mountain Mandate” and how they will have dominion of the 7 areas of life. Their plan is to hand over to Jesus a “Christian Dominated” world when He returns. I don’t buy into that because that’s not the picture I see painted in the Book of Revelation.

Looking at the pattern of God’s dealing with rebellious Israel and what He allowed to happen to them is troubling to say the least. Captivity by another nation happened more than once. An almost complete, 2,000 year annihilation, a “full end” only once.

Even while thinking on what America’s future could be if repentance of an individual level doesn’t happen, God always leaves me hope to hold on to. Hope that from a chopped down or cursed tree a remnant, a “shoot” like the one Isaiah spoke of can still produce new life. Hopefully the kind of life that will please God and bring God’s protection and blessings.

When my fig tree split in two I took cuttings from some of the branches that were still alive. I rooted 12 cuttings, 9 of them were successful.  I planted 4 in my yard and have given 4 away. During the time I was rooting the 12 cuttings, a sprout from a root of the fig tree sprouted up from under the rotting limbs. I dug it up and potted it, making 13 attempts, 10 being successful.

20200519_182951.jpg

This picture was taken on May 19th 2020 before I planted the last 2 fig trees in my yard. The 3rd one going left to right is the tree that sprouted up from the roots of the split fig tree, my remnant tree, the tallest one.

Eventually I had to prune back the top growth on all of the fig trees I rooted and the sprouted one. It was hard for me to do. They were growing so well and so fast but for their own good I had to bruise them to encourage the proper growth in them to produce fruit.

Working in my grape vines, fig trees and all my gardening pruning times makes me consider the ways God has to prune away the unproductive growth in our lives. I have finally come to a place that I welcome the pruning God does in my life because I know it’s for my own good. He removes the things that hinder my life being fruitful for His purpose and I’m glad. Not because of the pain, guilt or shame it reminds me of but because it shows His Love and Concern for me. God draws near to those He chastens and prunes because they will dare to draw near to Him.

Can God Control The Weather?
Does God Watch Over His Children, Even Their Plants?

ABSOLUTELY!!!

Deuteronomy 11:10-12  For the land which you go to possess is not like the land of Egypt from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it by foot, as a vegetable garden; 11 but the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven, 12 a land for which the Lord your God cares; the eyes of the Lord your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.
