He Gives Power To The Weak

This is the scripture of the day from MyDailyBible app for March 18, 2020. #Bible https://www.mydailybible.org/dv/nkjv/2020-03-18.htm

” Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:28-31 NKJV)

It was the 1st thing I read in my daily Bible study of God’s Word this morning. It instantly put a song in my heart and mind because it’s one of the scripture memory songs I have listened to for 27 years now. The album, “God’s Provision,” was released in 1993, the year I bought the cassette of it, the year I became a “Born Again with God’s Spirit” Christian on February 8, 1993. I have since purchased the digital version on Amazon. You can listen to the whole album on Youtube for free,

A couple of years ago I had a 14 yard truck of fill sand delivered to my home to try to deal with a wet spot in my year about 50 x 50 feet square. My riding lawn mower kept wanting to get stuck in it when it rained too often. I waited until we had a huge amount of rain and the spot looked like a big old water puddle so I could try to water level it.

That morning before I attempted to push a lot of wheelbarrow loads filled with wet fill sand in my water hole I prayed a prayer. “Lord I ask you to renew the strength in my back as Your Word says in Isaiah. Please let my strength not faint but let it mount up like the eagles.” Normally, a shovel in my hand would equate to a backache if I used it too long. Add pushing a loaded wheelbarrow through wet mud, almost a pond, for hours and I had a good idea of what I’d feel like later. BUT GOD heard my prayer and answered it!!!

The next day when I talked to my Dad I couldn’t wait to tell him about my task and the prayer I prayed and how God answered it. To my total amazement when I finished spreading the 14 yards of fill sand in a few hours without stopping to take a break, I had NO BACKACHE!!! Neither did I have one later after I did take a break when I was done.

Maybe you think that’s normal. But is it normal for someone over 60 years old that failed a job physical 12 years ago because of degenerative back discs that showed up in a MRI? The 2 jobs I had after that event didn’t require extensive physicals. That’s why I was able to get them and more than likely, it was according to God’s Will fot my life.

God answering that prayer so amazingly has caused me to pray similar prayers when I have difficult tasks to do considering my age and back condition. Often, the left side of my left leg becomes numb if I stand still for too long. That’s the condition of my back. I can remember many times in my younger years when it felt like I had an ice pick stuck in my hip from back pain. Sometimes I would go to the winch on my boat to begin hauling in the nets and the pain was so bad it’s like I was stuck in a bent over position for awhile. I’d have to postpone hauling in my nets until it would subside some. In case you are wondering, I have never had back surgery, well by a human anyway.

For God to answer my prayer to give my back strength to accomplish my task in such a remarkable way “IS Truly, Answered Prayer.”

But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength;   I believe that “Waiting”on God isn’t always like waiting at the doctor’s office for your turn. Waiting on God is more like the person who serves you when you dine in a restaurant. A good waiter seeks to please the customer. They pay attention to the person they are “waiting’s” actions and desire to fulfill their needs. WOW, that thought has brought another of my scripture memory songs to mind, Psalm 23:5 “You Prepare A Table Before Me”

Do you want to hide God’s Word in your heart? Do you want to store up ammunition that the Holy Spirit can bring to your memory during the time of battle? Start listening to Scripture Memory Music and stop listening to the songs that glorify self, lusts and sins of every kind. God Will Honor His Word when it’s used for the appropriate motive and conditions. BUT,

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

So how is it with you friend? What kind of seeds are you planting in your heart? Are they “seeds of faith, hope, trust, and loyalty” in and to God’s Word?
